The pitch known as 'The Banks' is a flood lit, fenced in 5 aside football pitch. It is used mainly by the young people who are members of the Darkley Club House, however it is available for all the local young people to use.
It can also be used for volley ball and other sports. It is our intention to arrange tournaments for young people from all sides of the community to take part and enjoy each other´s company in a friendly environment.
The Banks was officially opened in September 2005 by Steve Collier, semi professional footballer playing in the Irish Premier League.
The Banks was partly funded by the Conservation Volunteers and Barclays Spaces for Sport.
