The journey so far
In 2005 plans were put in place to develop the existing Coach House into a new state of the art building, which would house a number of commercial units.

The Coach House Regeneration Ltd building would provide stimulating space for the social economy and incubation of small local businesses. It is anticipated that some of the existing community enterprises in the original Coach House will be rehoused in the new build and blossom further in a business environment.

SUMMER 2007

After many planning and funding meetings the Coach House Regenerations Ltd building took the next step towards becoming a reality. Worn Again was moved into the Care Wagon at the front of the property and the demolition of the building started. By the end of the summer the original building was completely demolshed and the final steps towards agreeing the plans and the funding drew nearer.

FUNDING FINALISED - October 2007

We are absolutely delighted to announce that all the required funds to commence the building is in place.

The final £2,000 of this £875,720.45 journey was made by a private donation to ensure that the project commenced immediately without possible delay and the necessary fund raising.

We are grateful to our financial partners in DETI, IFI and UCIT and to all the individuals who worked voluntarily on the demolitionof the old building.

The continued advice and input of the Project Manager R.E. Quinn architect is appreciated and together with our management team will stay focused to deliver a Community Business Park available to all.

Due to unexpected high levels of rain fall in late June and early July the ground works for the bridge at the rear of the building could not be completed on time and so the official opening of August 8th 2008 has had to be postponed.
