CFT Calendar Launch

On Monday 28 November Mayor Freda Donnelly Armagh City & District Council attended the launch of the Crossfire Trust 2012 fundraising Calendar.

The Directors and staff of Crossfire Trust received a great boost from The Mayor who eagerly endorsed the work undertaken in Crossfire Trust Care Programme.

Guest Speaker at the event was Pat Catney of The Samaritans. Mr Catney spoke eloquently about his experiences of volunteering with The Samaritans and he encouraged Crossfire Trust to continue to engage with The Samaritans at a local level. Responding to Mr Catney on behalf of Crossfire Trust Ian Bothwell welcomed the opportunity for the two organisations to come together.

Both organisations resolved to work more closely at a local level in order to provide the support that is so badly needed today in our community.

Speaking on behalf of the residents and service users of Crossfire Trust, Paul Rafferty outlined the high level of care and support that he and his fellow residents have received in Darkley House. Paul was given an enthusiastic round of applause by the audience at the conclusion of his reflection.
